System Solution Design Engineer (FPGA)

Location: Penang, Malaysia. Right to work in Malaysia is required.

What you will do

• Build, validate, and deploy FPGA-based solutions for vision and AI, server security, industrial automation, communications, and automotive applications.
• Work with internal and external customers to understand solution requirements.
• Integrate and validate FPGA specifications and components for complete end solutions.
• Partner with FPGA designers and software/firmware developers on full solution integration.
• Work with data science engineers to tune FPGA implementations for accuracy, speed, and breadth.
• Define validation scope, review test results, interpret data, and implement improvements with design and validation teams.

Requirements

• BS or MS in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering and 5+ years of experience in FPGA system integration and validation of hardware and software/firmware components.
• Excellent full-stack debugging skills, with the ability to isolate issues systematically and resolve them with developers across hardware, software, and firmware.
• Working knowledge of SDI, HDMI, DisplayPort, SLVS-EC, MIPI, USB, I2C, SPI, and Ethernet protocols.
• Experience using embedded development tools, logic analyzers, I2C/SPI analyzers, USB analyzers, and similar tools.
• Ability to transform ideas from research articles into working solutions for real-world problems.
• Outstanding written and verbal English communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
• Satisfactory proof of the right to work in Malaysia and successful background and reference checks are required.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of RISC-V systems.
