Consumable Engineer Co-op Chemical

Location: On-site in Waltham, Massachusetts. Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM.

Salary: $23–$27 per hour

What you will do

• Provide technical floor support to reagent and consumable manufacturing operations.
• Create and revise manufacturing documentation, including procedures, drawings, artwork, and technical records, in line with quality system regulations and ISO standards.
• Assess components for form, fit, and function when handling nonconforming products.
• Support IQ, OQ, PQ, validation, DOE, PFMEA, process validation planning, and continuous improvement studies.
• Support equipment start-up, pilot runs, new or modified processes, and direct manufacturing activities.
• Coordinate with Manufacturing, R&D, QA/QC, Marketing, Accounting, Purchasing, Planning, and Distribution.

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in an engineering program for a six-month co-op.
• No prior work experience is required.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, analytical, critical-thinking, and time-management skills.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, stoop, or climb for extended periods and perform repetitive physical tasks.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 25–50 pounds and operate tools, machinery, or technical equipment.
• Ability to work in varying environmental conditions and use required personal protective equipment.

• Experience with Microsoft Office Suite.
