Cost Analyst

Location: On-site in Arlington, Virginia, United States

Salary: $85,000–$95,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.

What you will do

• Perform cost and economic analysis for Department of Homeland Security acquisition programs.
• Conduct cost research, data collection, parametric cost estimating, and cost and schedule estimating.
• Develop life cycle cost analyses, cost estimating relationships, and cost models.
• Perform cost risk analysis, project forecasting, risk assessment, cost-benefit analysis, and software cost estimating.
• Provide budget analysis and execution support and advise senior-level decision makers on cost-related issues.
• Develop and deliver training sessions, lunch-and-learns, and software demonstrations.

Requirements

• 4–7 years of government acquisition experience with knowledge of Federal contract requirements, cost estimating, and cost analysis.
• Experience with complex information technologies, simulations, models, operations, and research tools.
• Knowledge of DHS systems, software, policies, cost-estimating best practices, and budget systems.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, plus experience in cost modeling and weapons cost analysis.
• CCEA certification from ICEAA is required.
• U.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain DHS Suitability are required. A bachelor's degree in mathematics, engineering, business, or the sciences is required.
