Senior Security Automation Specialist - USDS (AI)

Location: New York, United States; fully in-person schedule up to 5 days a week

Salary: $132,480–$242,820 annually, with potential discretionary bonuses, incentives, and restricted stock units.

What you will do

• Design and develop solutions that strengthen security and compliance.
• Create AI agents, intelligent workflows, and security copilots to reduce manual effort.
• Build internal security products, self-service portals, and autonomous response capabilities using LLMs and modern software engineering practices.
• Translate business challenges into scalable technical solutions and reusable platforms.
• Partner with Security, Privacy, Compliance, Risk, IT, and Engineering teams to automate processes and improve user experience.
• Drive adoption of efficient security capabilities across the organization.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in security engineering, software engineering, product engineering, or automation engineering.
• Experience coding, using APIs, performing technical integrations, and automating business or security processes.
• Experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP cloud platforms.
• Experience using AI tools such as ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Devin, or similar platforms.
• Strong understanding of security concepts and controls.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Nice to have

• Experience developing AI agents or copilots and working with OpenAI, Anthropic, Gemini, or other LLM APIs.
• Experience with LangChain, CrewAI, AutoGen, MCP, or similar frameworks.
• Experience with React, TypeScript, Node, modern web frameworks, workflow automation platforms, or internal developer platforms.
• Experience in security operations, compliance, or risk management.
