Financial Analyst I, Pennymac Corporate University (AI)

Location: Office-based in Westlake Village, Simi Valley, Moorpark, Carrollton, or Fort Worth, United States. A Florida relocation path starts in California and requires a permanent move to Tampa, Florida.

Salary: $75,000–$80,000 per year, with possible performance-based or stock-based incentives.

What you will do

• Complete a 12-month rotational program with two six-month departmental assignments across finance, capital markets, treasury, mortgage fulfillment, risk, marketing, sales, and human resources.
• Analyze complex financial and operational datasets to produce business insights, risk models, and recommendations for leadership.
• Use AI tools, Python, and SQL to automate legacy workflows, build dashboards, and optimize reporting pipelines.
• Support cross-functional initiatives by managing timelines, risk frameworks, and deliverables.
• Research mortgage and capital-markets trends, rate sensitivities, and regulatory changes.
• Map operational workflows, identify bottlenecks, and implement scalable technology-enabled solutions.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, business analytics, applied mathematics, statistics, data science, industrial engineering, business administration, or a related quantitative or business discipline.
• Graduate before July 12, 2027, or have graduated within 18 months of the program start date.
• GPA of 3.3 or higher for operational and strategic tracks; 3.5 or higher is preferred for quantitative and capital-markets tracks.
• Hands-on experience or strong familiarity with modern AI tools such as Cursor AI, Amazon Quick, or Gemini.
• Experience with SQL, Python, advanced Excel modeling and automation, Tableau, Power BI, or Snowflake.
• Strong data-driven problem-solving, written communication, verbal communication, adaptability, and ability to learn under tight deadlines.
