Data Engineer II (Databricks, AWS)

Location: Atlanta, Georgia, United States

Annual base salary: $126,500–$208,700, plus eligibility for performance-based cash incentive awards.

What you will do

• Build, deploy, and operationalize complex data pipelines and data solutions.
• Capture, explore, transform, and prepare data for artificial intelligence, machine learning, and business intelligence.
• Analyze complex data sources and recommend data for analytical processes.
• Apply data governance, security, quality, cleansing, and transformation practices.
• Collaborate across teams, support delivery, and educate users on data products and analytical environments.
• Test data movement and transformation code, and resolve complex data and system defects and incidents.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, a related STEM field, or equivalent education and work experience.
• At least 4 additional years of data engineering experience; the profile describes 8 years of related experience.
• Highly proficient in AWS or another major cloud platform, Databricks, Python, and SQL.
• Hands-on experience with fundamental data engineering practices and complex data solutions.
• Strong problem-solving, analytical, communication, collaboration, and stakeholder-partnership skills.
• Ability to build resilient systems, manage trade-offs, and deliver solutions incrementally.

Nice to have

• Experience with AI assistants such as Claude and Databricks Genie.
• Experience with Azure cloud platforms.
