Tech Lead Software Engineer, Ads Infra - Big Data (AdTech)

Location: Los Angeles, United States; fully in-person schedule up to 5 days a week

Salary: $177,688–$416,100 annually, plus potential discretionary bonuses, incentives, and restricted stock units.

What you will do

• Build and operate big data computing frameworks and storage systems for large-scale advertising serving and machine learning systems.
• Drive key technical projects and improve engineering capabilities across the Ads Infra team.
• Develop highly efficient, scalable, and stable infrastructure for ads ranking and machine learning workloads.
• Coordinate engineering efforts with multiple teams, organizations, and internal and external stakeholders.
• Introduce new ideas, technologies, and innovations to the infrastructure platform.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in computer science or a related technical discipline.
• 5+ years of hands-on experience with big data processing and storage frameworks.
• Experience with technologies such as Hadoop, Flink, Spark, Kafka, Hive, HBase, Redis, or RocksDB.
• Strong foundations in coding, algorithms, data structures, software design, and problem-solving.
• Effective communication skills, critical thinking, ownership, and initiative.
• Availability for fully in-person work in Los Angeles, up to 5 days per week.

• Experience in the ads domain.
• Experience building large-scale ranking and machine learning infrastructure.
• Experience processing petabyte-scale data.
