NPD/LCM Engineer II (Medical Devices)

Location: Fully onsite in Irvine, California, United States

Salary: $65,000–$104,650 per year

What you will do

• Support new product development, NPD transfers, and lifecycle engineering projects.
• Improve manufacturing processes and product yields through process studies, investigations, and engineering analysis.
• Perform mechanical and electrical assembly, troubleshooting, equipment design, and tooling testing.
• Support design directions and modifications of system components.
• Prepare and update work instructions, part specifications, validation protocols, technical documents, reports, and correspondence.
• Communicate business-related issues and opportunities to the next management level while following health, safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a relevant discipline.
• 2–4 years of related engineering experience.
• Basic understanding of theoretical and practical engineering fundamentals and experimental techniques.
• Required knowledge of drafting software such as AutoCAD and SolidWorks.
• Ability to apply standard engineering techniques, procedures, and criteria to defined projects with limited variables.
• Experience in the medical device industry is an asset.

Nice to have

• Ability to present to upper management.
• Spanish or Mandarin language skills.
• Experience with CAPA, Gemba Kaizen, lean supply chain management, process control, and computerized equipment.
