Measurement Tech, Level 1-4 (Natural Gas Measurement)

Location: Onsite in Aurora, Colorado; must live within a reasonable response time, specified as 45 minutes from the reporting location.

Pay: USD $40.00–$55.00 per hour, commensurate with experience and skill set.

What you will do

• Install, inspect, test, adjust, maintain, operate, troubleshoot, repair, calibrate, and remove measurement, control, regulation, SCADA, and gas quality equipment.
• Monitor gas volumes and quality, detect measurement errors, apply corrections, and maintain supporting documentation.
• Interpret electrical and electronic schematics for electronic flow measurement and measurement electronics.
• Inspect facilities, audit custody-transfer and control data, and oversee third-party construction or maintenance activities.
• Complete operational records, identify unsafe conditions, and participate in safety and operational excellence programs.
• Respond to call-outs and work overtime, including nights, weekends, and holidays, as required.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent; an associate degree in a technical field and/or at least three years of equivalent work experience.
• Knowledge of National Electric Codes, electronic test instruments, natural gas and liquid chromatography, and mechanical, pneumatic, and electronic measurement equipment.
• Knowledge of AGA, API, and GPA measurement standards and safe handling practices for flammable gases, liquids, and high-pressure systems.
• Valid driver's license meeting company insurability requirements; a commercial driver's license and operation of commercial vehicles may be required.
• Strong safety focus, analytical and troubleshooting skills, basic computer and math skills, and effective verbal and written communication.
• Ability to work in confined spaces, at heights, outdoors and in all weather conditions, and to lift and carry at least 20 pounds, with occasional loads up to 50 pounds.

Nice to have

• Five or more years of gas and/or liquid pipeline measurement experience.
