Payroll Specialist

Location: On site at the Head Office in Wootton, Bedfordshire, near Bedford, United Kingdom

What you will do

• Deliver accurate and timely daily and monthly payroll processes.
• Manage the payroll inbox and respond to employee and manager queries.
• Support end-to-end monthly payroll, including Driver Pay, pensions, and related processes.
• Prepare Government statistics and payroll reporting, including Gender Pay Reporting and ONS surveys.
• Monitor payroll legislation and maintain compliant processes.
• Produce month-end reports and contribute to ad hoc payroll projects.

Requirements

• At least 4 years of experience in a similar payroll role.
• Experience using Workday in a payroll environment.
• Strong knowledge of payroll processes and legislation.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to meet tight deadlines.
• Strong verbal and written communication, people, and customer service skills.
• Strong IT skills, including a good working knowledge of Excel, and the ability to take ownership of tasks.
