Manufacturing Engineer (Pharmaceutical Manufacturing)

Location: Melrose Park, IL, United States; onsite manufacturing role

Salary: $80,000–$95,000 per year

What you will do

• Support daily aseptic filling operations and provide technical solutions for manufacturing issues.
• Develop and track key performance indicators including uptime, downtime, scrap, and yield.
• Use Lean tools to improve process variability, efficiency, productivity, and capacity.
• Manage assigned capital and continuous improvement projects within budget and schedule constraints.
• Coordinate technical activities with Operations, Maintenance, Quality, Engineering, suppliers, and contractors.
• Prepare user requirements specifications, risk and safety assessments, and electrical, HVAC, and mechanical project specifications.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, such as Electrical, Automation, Controls, Computer, or Mechanical Engineering.
• 1–3 years of plant manufacturing experience.
• Understanding of control systems and PLC programming for highly automated manufacturing technologies, including Siemens or Allen Bradley.
• Ability to coordinate contractors and team members, work independently, and set priorities.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, including technical writing and presentations.
• Effective spoken and written English is required for regulated workplace communication, policies, procedures, and training materials.

Nice to have

• Working knowledge of AutoCAD or SolidWorks.
