Manufacturing Engineer (Pharmaceutical)

Location: Melrose Park, Illinois, United States; full-time onsite

Salary: $80,000–$95,000 per year

What you will do

• Support daily aseptic filling operations and improve safety, quality, productivity, capacity, and process efficiency.
• Develop systems to measure uptime, downtime, scrap, yield, and other manufacturing performance indicators.
• Analyze production problems, identify capacity constraints, and implement shop-floor continuous improvement projects using Lean tools.
• Manage assigned capital projects within budget and schedule constraints, including specifications, URS, risk assessments, and safety assessments.
• Coordinate technical activities with Operations, Maintenance, Quality, Engineering, vendors, contractors, and suppliers.
• Prepare or revise production work instructions and procedures while maintaining cGMP and applicable industry compliance.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Automation, Controls, Computer, Mechanical, or another engineering discipline.
• 1–3 years of plant manufacturing experience.
• Knowledge of control systems and PLC programming for highly automated manufacturing technologies, including Siemens or Allen-Bradley systems.
• Ability to coordinate contractors and team members, work independently, and set priorities.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, including technical writing and presentations.
• Effective spoken and written English is required for regulated workplace policies, procedures, training materials, and communications.

Nice to have

• Working knowledge of AutoCAD or SolidWorks.
