Finishing Operator (Advanced Composites Manufacturing)

Location: Casa Grande, Arizona, USA; onsite manufacturing role

Salary: $25.75 per hour during the 90-day New Hire Orientation Period, increasing to $28.13 per hour afterward

hirify.global manufactures advanced lightweight composite materials, including carbon fiber, woven reinforcements, resins, prepregs, honeycombs, and engineered core and composite structures for the commercial aerospace industry.

What you will do

• Process sliced composite materials through light inspection, trim sawing, node repair, washing, drying, blowout, and packing operations.
• Inspect material for blisters, plugging, dimensional issues, density, cell count, and other defects; repair or rework nonconforming material.
• Operate and maintain moving-band and table saws, rework ovens, air-powered packaging equipment, and other production tools.
• Calculate material yield, trim parts to required tolerances, prepare packaging, and deliver completed jobs to source inspection or shipping.
• Record production, inventory, test-piece, and material-movement information in paperwork and MRP systems.
• Coordinate work priorities, partial jobs, inventory movements, and manufacturing shortages with planning, scheduling, supervisors, leads, engineers, and Quality Assurance.

Requirements

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• At least one year of experience, preferably in manufacturing; six months of manufacturing experience at the hirify.global Casa Grande facility may substitute.
• Proficiency using a tape measure and ruler.
• Ability to read safety rules, operating instructions, maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals, and to write routine reports.
• Ability to perform arithmetic with whole numbers, fractions, and decimals, and calculate rates, ratios, and percentages.
• Must be a U.S. citizen, U.S. national, lawful permanent resident, qualifying temporary resident, refugee, or person granted asylum.
