Senior Research Specialist (Insurance)

What you will do

• Conduct research and analysis across commercial insurance markets, industries, customers, brokers, competitors, and emerging business themes.
• Combine internal business and portfolio data with market and industry insights to identify trends, risks, opportunities, and business implications.
• Partner with stakeholders to define research objectives and deliver tailored insights for decision-making.
• Prepare market scans, competitor analyses, customer intelligence packs, company profiles, strategic summaries, leadership briefings, and presentations.
• Support customer engagements, account planning, sales enablement, strategic initiatives, and senior stakeholder discussions.
• Maintain knowledge repositories, dashboards, templates, and reusable insight materials while improving research quality and team capabilities.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in secondary research, market intelligence, business research, insurance research, consulting support, or strategic analysis.
• Experience in reinsurance, insurance broking, risk advisory, consulting, or corporate strategy is preferred.
• Strong analytical skills covering companies, financials, industry trends, market dynamics, competitor activity, and business performance.
• Ability to interpret internal business and portfolio data and connect it with market trends and industry developments.
• Excellent business writing, executive summarization, stakeholder communication, and prioritization skills.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business, Economics, Insurance, Risk Management, Data Analytics, or a related field.

Nice to have

• Certificate in insurance, such as Chartered Insurance Institute (CII).
