Senior Compliance Advisor (Lending)

What you will do

• Provide subject matter expertise on applicable laws, regulations, internal policies, and compliance requirements.
• Monitor regulatory developments, assess operational impact, and support implementation of required changes.
• Identify, assess, prioritize, and escalate compliance risks while coordinating remediation with stakeholders.
• Develop, review, and enhance compliance policies, procedures, and governance frameworks.
• Partner with business units, risk management, legal, and other internal teams to integrate compliance into operational decisions.
• Maintain compliance records, prepare leadership reports, support audits and regulatory examinations, and deliver compliance guidance and training.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in business administration, finance, accounting, or a related field.
• 5+ years of compliance experience.
• Experience interpreting regulations, assessing risks, prioritizing risks, and creating effective mitigation plans.
• Advanced knowledge of applicable laws and regulations and advanced understanding of banking compliance functions.
• Experience collaborating with non-technical stakeholders and translating laws and regulations into clear, non-technical guidance.

Nice to have

• CRCM, CFIRS, or equivalent professional certification.
