Optometrist (OD) - Medical Optometry

Location: Tampa and Brooksville, Florida, US; onsite work with rotation between two nearby clinic locations

Salary: $140,000–$150,000 annual, starting around $150,000+ DOE, plus performance bonus

What you will do

• Perform comprehensive eye examinations for patients of all ages.
• Diagnose and manage ocular diseases and provide routine and medical eye care.
• Fit and manage contact lenses.
• Co-manage cataract, glaucoma, corneal, refractive surgery, and other surgical patients with ophthalmologists.
• Educate patients on treatment plans and preventive eye care while maintaining accurate electronic medical records.
• Collaborate with physicians, technicians, and support staff to deliver patient care.

Requirements

• Doctor of Optometry (OD) degree.
• Active Florida Optometry License or ability to obtain it before starting.
• Medical optometry experience preferred; ophthalmology or OD/MD experience is a plus.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Team-oriented, patient-first approach.
