Calibration Technician I

Location: East Providence, Rhode Island, United States; onsite lab/manufacturing environment.

What you will do

• Perform internal calibration of instruments, meters, gauges, and other testing equipment according to quality-system requirements.
• Coordinate external calibration services and maintain the calibration system according to established frequencies.
• Conduct routine equipment inspections, maintenance, testing, and repairs.
• Maintain calibration equipment and supplies, verify safe operation, and recommend upgrades when appropriate.
• Support engineering and manufacturing functions, including backup for incoming inspection.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least two years of calibration or measuring-equipment experience.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and Adobe.
• Competency with calibration software.
• Ability to communicate in English effectively in oral and written form.
• Ability to lift up to 30 pounds daily and use required protective equipment in a manufacturing environment.

Nice to have

• ASQ CCT certification.
• Working knowledge of ISO 9001:2015.
• Experience with ERP software, preferably SAP.
• Experience using EIQ software.
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, multitasking ability, and a self-starting approach.
