Software Engineer II (Aerospace)

Location: Hybrid in Lone Tree, Colorado; SNC can hire only in the listed U.S. states.

Estimated starting salary: $94,345.12–$129,724.54 per year.

What you will do

• Design, develop, test, debug, and optimize full-stack software components for internal web applications and tools.
• Build and maintain REST APIs and WebSocket-based real-time features.
• Integrate applications with third-party APIs and enterprise services, including identity/SSO, calendar, messaging, and AI providers.
• Design and evolve data models using PostgreSQL, relational databases, and ORMs.
• Containerize applications and support Kubernetes deployment through a GitOps pipeline.
• Participate in requirements development, code reviews, documentation, and quality improvements.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field; a higher relevant degree may substitute for experience.
• At least 2 years of software development experience.
• Proficiency in C++, Java, or Python, as well as TypeScript/JavaScript.
• Experience with React, Node.js, REST APIs, software testing, version control, and code review.
• Ability to work effectively in multidisciplinary teams and on a computer for extended periods.
• Must be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident, protected individual, or eligible to obtain required U.S. government authorizations.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of HTML, CSS, SQL, Python, or Bash.
• Experience with PostgreSQL, Drizzle, Prisma, Docker, Kubernetes, Helm, Kustomize, or ArgoCD.
• Exposure to AI/LLM provider integrations and software development tooling.
• Understanding of Agile/Scrum, Waterfall, Spiral methodologies, and data structures.
