Cyber Threat Analyst (AI)

Location: Washington, D.C., United States

Salary: $160,000–$220,000 USD base salary per year, plus bonus, equity, and benefits.

What you will do

• Synthesize internal and external data to build comprehensive assessments of threats affecting cloud environments, AI, and developers.
• Track and analyze state-backed and financially motivated attackers targeting cloud ecosystems.
• Investigate and attribute incidents, campaigns, and threat actors.
• Analyze the infrastructure and malware used by advanced actors through open and closed data sources.
• Communicate novel findings and in-depth cyber threat analyses to multiple audiences and in multiple formats.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in security or threat research, with a record of producing detailed and novel analysis and reporting.
• Ability to combine multiple independent data sources into a comprehensive campaign assessment.
• Basic to intermediate technical analysis skills in infrastructure analysis, malware analysis, or cloud log analysis.
• Strong analytical judgment and familiarity with attribution and evidence-based assessments.
• Ability to write quickly and clearly about technical topics.
• Legal right to work in the United States without visa sponsorship.

Nice to have

• Experience with large-scale telemetry, infrastructure hunting, query languages, and scripting.
• Knowledge of AWS, GCP, Azure, Kubernetes, and modern cloud-native architectures.
• Experience writing finished intelligence reports for multiple audiences.
• Public communication experience involving novel and newsworthy findings.
