Senior Manager, Product Innovation Engineering (Medical Devices)

What you will do

• Lead product and process innovation strategies for surgical solutions, from ideation through full-scale commercialization.
• Manage and develop a multidisciplinary engineering and innovation team aligned with business growth objectives.
• Oversee a portfolio of programs, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, performance, quality, and regulatory requirements.
• Develop short- and long-term product innovation roadmaps, including differentiation and intellectual property strategies.
• Partner with commercial, business development, finance, operations, sales, quality, customers, and industry stakeholders to prioritize opportunities and deliver customer value.
• Drive new production processes, scalable manufacturing, documentation, validation, and continuous improvements using DFM/DFA principles.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, materials science, technology, or a related field; an MBA or graduate degree is preferred.
• 7–10 years of experience leading product development engineering, R&D, or technology innovation teams, including experience in the medical OEM or medical device industry.
• Experience developing product technology strategies, innovation roadmaps, and products through the full development, manufacturing, and quality lifecycle.
• Ability to solve complex technical problems, translate research into technical capabilities and product solutions, and manage multiple concurrent projects.
• Ability to build executive-level relationships with customers and industry leaders and collaborate effectively with technical, operations, and cross-functional managers.

Nice to have

• MBA or another graduate degree.
• OEM development leadership experience in the cardiovascular industry.
