Graphic Designer III

What you will do

• Provide senior-level graphic design, multimedia, desktop publishing, presentation, and visual communications support for the ONR Corporate Strategic Communication Department.
• Create and maintain web pages, blogs, newsletters, newspapers, magazines, infographics, social media content, articles, and other communication materials.
• Produce and edit video, photography, audiovisual presentations, video news releases, b-roll clips, and videotaping materials.
• Develop concepts, create complex layouts, prepare final artwork, and coordinate production with agencies, art services, and printers.
• Review design products for quality and compliance before delivery to the Government.
• Apply Associated Press, Navy, ONR, and other applicable style guides.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in graphics, fine arts, visual arts, or communications from an accredited institution.
• At least 10 years of experience in graphic design or a related communications field.
• Experience with Adobe Creative Cloud Suite and digital media production tools.
• Experience gathering information, planning concepts, managing workflows, and scheduling projects.
• Ability to develop rough layouts, obtain concept approval, and prepare finished copy and artwork for typesetting and printing.
• Strong creative design, layout, customer service, flexibility, attention to detail, and deadline-management skills.
