Commercial Construction Senior Project Manager (Construction)

Location: Falls Church, Virginia, United States

Salary: $121,000–$165,000 per year, with performance-based bonuses and compensation varying by city and state.

What you will do

• Manage small and large-scale commercial construction projects from discovery and design through development, implementation, and closeout.
• Negotiate contract terms and conditions with clients and identify justified time extensions.
• Monitor project schedules, safety standards, quality control plans, and compliance with company processes.
• Coordinate with project staff and subcontractors to resolve scope issues and maintain positive working relationships.
• Lead preconstruction and RFP package efforts with the Preconstruction Department and other company resources.
• Acquire new work, maintain existing client relationships, and delegate responsibilities to keep projects running smoothly.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience with a commercial general contractor.
• Experience successfully acquiring or contacting at least one new client.
• Ability to manage multiple project management efforts simultaneously.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
• A four-year degree in construction, engineering, or business is strongly preferred; additional work experience may substitute for a degree.
