Procurement Generalist - USDS

Location: Los Angeles, United States; fully in-person schedule up to 5 days a week

Salary: $83,600–$143,556 annually, with potential additional discretionary bonuses or incentives and restricted stock units.

What you will do

• Develop category plans and execute strategic sourcing initiatives across indirect procurement, with a focus on technology categories.
• Analyze spend data, market dynamics, business requirements, and RFP responses to support purchasing decisions.
• Source and onboard vendors, place purchase orders, manage supplier performance, and oversee contract fulfillment.
• Partner with Engineering, Security, Trust & Safety, and other stakeholders to align procurement strategies with business needs.
• Build financial models such as ROI and NPV analyses and present actionable recommendations.
• Improve sourcing digitization, contracting scalability, operational efficiency, compliance, and risk management.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, Finance, Computer Science, or a related field.
• 4+ years of experience in sourcing, procurement, contract negotiation, supplier management, and project management.
• Understanding of the Procure-to-Pay workflow and experience with ERP, Source-to-Pay applications, and e-Sourcing tools.
• Proficiency in financial analysis, market intelligence, sourcing strategy development, and project management.
• Ability to manage competing priorities, take ownership, and build strong cross-functional relationships.
• Availability for a fully in-person schedule in Los Angeles, up to 5 days per week.

Nice to have

• MBA or another advanced degree.
• Category management experience involving IT infrastructure, software, and cybersecurity procurement.
• Experience presenting complex deals and recommendations to executive-level stakeholders.
• Experience supporting organizational transformation and adopting change in a fast-paced environment.
