Sr. Analyst - Huntington Private Capital

Location: Houston, TX, United States; office workplace type. Applicants must be currently authorized to work full-time in the United States. Huntington does not sponsor immigration or work permits for this position.

What you will do

• Underwrite prospective private equity and private credit fund investments by analyzing strategies, track records, portfolios, investment teams, and risk factors.
• Build financial models and perform cash flow analysis to support investment recommendations and portfolio monitoring.
• Conduct due diligence on fund managers, portfolio companies, industries, market trends, and private capital markets.
• Monitor the SBIC investment portfolio, including fund performance, capital calls, distributions, valuations, and portfolio company developments.
• Prepare portfolio reviews, dashboards, investment summaries, management reports, investment committee materials, and approval memorandums.
• Collaborate with investment, finance, legal, risk management, and credit teams on investment execution, regulatory reporting, and strategic projects.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, economics, business, or a related field.
• At least 1 year of experience in commercial banking, credit underwriting, investment banking, private equity, private credit, SBIC investing, asset management, or a related financial services environment.
• Strong analytical, financial modeling, organizational, and detail-management skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to synthesize complex financial and market information.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
• Current full-time authorization to work in the United States is required; immigration sponsorship is not available.

Nice to have

• Coursework or internship experience in finance, investment analysis, commercial banking, private equity, or credit underwriting.
• Familiarity with financial statement analysis, valuation methodologies, and private capital markets.
• Interest in lower middle market private equity, private credit, sponsor finance, and SBIC investing.
• Experience with PitchBook, Capital IQ, Refinitiv, or similar financial research platforms.
