Developer Support Engineer (Java)

What you will do

• Provide advanced escalation support for backend issues, integrations, database configurations, and complex system behavior.
• Participate in on-call rotations and resolve high-impact incidents within the defined scope.
• Troubleshoot self-hosted installations, upgrades, migrations, performance issues, and environment configurations.
• Analyze logs, support bundles, SQL queries, API traffic, and system metrics to diagnose application problems.
• Identify, reproduce, and document defects while developing scripts and technical workarounds for customers.
• Collaborate with Support, Product, and Engineering on defect resolution, documentation, and knowledge sharing.

Requirements

• 3–6 years of experience supporting Java-based web applications.
• Strong troubleshooting skills across application layers, including code-level debugging, log analysis, database queries, API integrations, and environment diagnostics.
• Proficiency in scripting and SQL, with experience using MySQL or MSSQL.
• Strong Linux command-line experience for log analysis and system configuration.
• Experience troubleshooting firewalls, proxies, networking issues, REST APIs, SaaS or web applications, and Kubernetes environments.
• Unrestricted right to work and residence in an eligible EMEA country are required.

Nice to have

• Computer Science degree or related technical education.
• Experience with ArangoDB or other NoSQL databases.
