Product Engineering Coordinator (Semiconductor)

Location: Burlington, Ontario, Canada

Salary: CAD 65,000–73,000 per year

What you will do

• Develop and maintain NPI program schedules, milestones, dependencies, critical paths, risks, mitigation plans, and status updates.
• Coordinate cross-functional tasks, deliverables, program reviews, action items, and phase-gate documentation across engineering, quality, packaging, planning, operations, and external partners.
• Manage sample movement, wafer lot shipments, backend processing, package builds, OSAT bring-up, tooling, purchase orders, and supply priorities.
• Create and maintain part numbers, BOMs, routings, ECO-aligned revisions, product lifecycle statuses, release documents, and obsolescence or EOL activities.
• Coordinate ECCN assessments, SAP requests and reservations, wafer configuration tickets, wafer map packages, SBL/SYL limits, waivers, and backend processing documentation.
• Prepare and issue Product Change Notifications and maintain accurate communications and approvals for internal and external stakeholders.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or relevant experience in Supply Chain Management or a related technical field.
• 3–6 years of experience in semiconductor NPI program coordination, supply planning, or manufacturing operations.
• Experience managing complex program schedules with multiple cross-functional dependencies and coordinating multidisciplinary teams across global locations and time zones.
• Working knowledge of BOM structures, ECO processes, and product lifecycle management.
• Strong organization and attention to detail across schedules, tasks, action closures, risks, and mitigation.
• Proficiency with Excel, MS Office, and project-tracking tools such as MS Project or Smartsheet.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision; project ownership, multitasking, self-direction, and teamwork.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with wafer fabrication, assembly/test, OSAT logistics, or sample flow.
• Exposure to ECCN classification and trade compliance processes.
• Experience preparing Product Change Notifications or waivers.
• Experience coordinating builds with packaging teams.
• Experience supporting new product qualification programs in a fabless or IDM semiconductor environment.
