Ground Network Engineer (Aerospace)

Salary: $155,000–$195,000 annual base salary, plus equity

What you will do

• Architect and build ground and site network infrastructure across commercial and secured environments.
• Design, deploy, and scale highly available Kubernetes clusters across multiple security and classification levels.
• Define and enforce security controls, hardening, and compliance for sensitive government and commercial programs.
• Build repeatable infrastructure with Terraform, Terragrunt, CI/CD pipelines, and automation.
• Establish monitoring, metrics, logging, alerting, incident response, and reliability standards for mission-critical systems.
• Partner with security, mission operations, and program teams while setting architectural standards and mentoring engineers.

Requirements

• U.S. Person status required, such as U.S. citizenship or a Green Card.
• Active Top Secret or Top Secret/SCI clearance required.
• 5+ years of experience in site reliability, infrastructure, or network engineering, including work in aerospace, defense, satellite, or another mission-critical domain.
• Experience architecting and operating ground network or large-scale production network infrastructure.
• Deep Kubernetes and container expertise, plus strong routing, switching, segmentation, and secure network design fundamentals.
• Experience with Terraform or Terragrunt, CI/CD, observability tooling, security and compliance, and scripting in Python, Go, or a comparable language.

Nice to have

• Experience supporting classified or government space programs.
• Experience standing up infrastructure across multiple classification levels.
• Familiarity with GitOps, ArgoCD, and observability platforms such as Mimir.
