Senior Packaging Designer (Beauty)

Location: Los Angeles HQ; onsite

Compensation: $130,000–$140,000 per year

What you will do

• Develop packaging concepts for primary and secondary packaging, sets, gifting, promotional packaging, and special projects.
• Translate the hirify.global aesthetic into a cohesive and distinctive Beauty packaging language.
• Lead projects from ideation and sketching through design development, mock-ups, prototyping, sampling, and final production.
• Explore forms, materials, colors, finishes, typography, graphics, and functionality while balancing cost, sustainability, commercial viability, and production requirements.
• Create presentations, renderings, prototypes, dielines, mechanical files, artwork, specifications, and production-ready files.
• Collaborate with Creative, Product Development, Marketing, Operations, Sourcing, Production, suppliers, manufacturers, agencies, and senior leadership.

Requirements

• 6+ years of packaging design experience, ideally in beauty, cosmetics, skincare, fragrance, luxury, fashion, or a design-driven consumer brand.
• Portfolio demonstrating sophisticated packaging design, concept development, structural thinking, and production execution.
• Experience designing both primary and secondary packaging from concept through final production.
• Strong knowledge of packaging materials, construction, manufacturing, print production, finishes, and decoration techniques.
• Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, particularly Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign.
• Strong understanding of typography, color, composition, materials, physical product design, and collaboration with packaging developers and production partners.

Nice to have

• Experience with 3D design, rendering, or visualization software.
• Beauty industry experience and knowledge of beauty packaging components and manufacturing processes.
