Senior Packaging Designer, Beauty

Location: Los Angeles HQ; onsite

Salary: $130,000–$140,000 per year

What you will do

• Develop innovative primary and secondary packaging concepts, sets, gifting, promotional packaging, and special projects for hirify.global Beauty.
• Translate the hirify.global aesthetic into a cohesive beauty packaging language across form, material, color, finish, typography, graphics, and functionality.
• Lead concepts from ideation and sketching through design development, mock-ups, prototypes, sampling, and final production.
• Create presentations, renderings, prototypes, dielines, mechanical files, artwork, specifications, and production-ready files.
• Review prototypes, samples, proofs, materials, finishes, and production submissions against the creative vision.
• Collaborate with Creative, Product Development, Marketing, Operations, Sourcing, Production, suppliers, manufacturers, agencies, and senior leadership.

Requirements

• 6+ years of packaging design experience, ideally in beauty, cosmetics, skincare, fragrance, luxury, fashion, or a highly design-driven consumer brand.
• Strong portfolio demonstrating sophisticated packaging design, concept development, structural thinking, and production execution; a portfolio link on the resume is required for consideration.
• Experience designing both primary and secondary packaging and taking packaging from creative concept through development, sampling, and final production.
• Strong knowledge of packaging materials, manufacturing processes, print production, finishes, decoration techniques, and beauty packaging components.
• Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, particularly Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign.
• Strong understanding of typography, color, composition, materials, and physical product design.
• Experience partnering with packaging developers, suppliers, manufacturers, and production teams.
• Exceptional creative taste, refined design sensibility, technical execution, attention to detail, communication, and presentation skills.
• Ability to balance creative ambition with cost, timing, scalability, manufacturing realities, and multiple competing priorities.

Nice to have

• Experience with 3D design, rendering, or visualization software.
• Beauty industry experience and knowledge of beauty packaging components and manufacturing processes.
