Platform Engineer (AI)

Location: Chicago, United States — 550 Van Buren

Salary: $140,000–$170,000 USD annually. Total estimated compensation including annual incentive compensation: $161,000–$218,750 USD.

What you will do

• Build and operate CI/CD pipelines with automated testing across AI delivery pods.
• Provision and manage the environments used to develop and run AI systems.
• Deploy and monitor production models and agents.
• Define technical and security standards for platform development.
• Build reusable platform components so new delivery pods can start from established foundations.

Requirements

• 5–8 years of experience in ML or AI platform engineering or MLOps, including 1–2 years of leadership experience.
• Hands-on experience running AI systems in production.
• Experience with AWS, Azure, Docker, Kubernetes, and infrastructure as code.
• Strong Python skills.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.

Nice to have

• Experience building internal developer platforms.
• Experience with AI testing and production monitoring.
• Healthcare or higher education experience with awareness of HIPAA or FERPA data-security requirements.
• AWS Machine Learning or DevOps certification, Azure AI-102 certification, or Kubernetes CKA certification.
