Delegated Credentialing Specialist (Healthcare)

Location: Salt Lake City, Utah, United States; work-from-home options are available.

Pay: $25.00/hour.

What you will do

• Process initial credentialing and recredentialing applications for healthcare practitioners.
• Collect, analyze, verify, and maintain confidential practitioner credentialing documents and data.
• Enroll providers with Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial health plans, following up until completion.
• Update CAQH and NPI information and maintain electronic and paper practitioner files.
• Monitor expiring licenses, certifications, sanctions, and compliance findings.
• Resolve discrepancies and coordinate handoffs with practitioners, clients, managers, and external agencies.

Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of provider or medical credentialing experience in a healthcare setting.
• Experience with delegated credentialing requirements, policies, and procedures.
• Proficiency with payor websites and systems including CAQH, PECOS, NPI/NPPES, Availity, NaviNet, and CMS I&A.
• Knowledge of primary source verification, accreditation standards, regulations, and compliance requirements.
• Associate’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Strong attention to detail, communication, follow-up, problem-solving, and discretion with sensitive information; proficiency with Microsoft Office.

Nice to have

• Certified Provider Credentialing Specialist (CPCS) certification.
• Provider Enrollment Specialist Certificate (PESC).
