Design Director (Brand Design)

Location: New York, NY; in-office Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday

Base salary: $180,000–$220,000 per year

What you will do

• Own and maintain the visual identity and packaging systems for Lumē and Mando across retail, digital, video, and social.
• Build scalable design systems, guidelines, templates, and workflows for consistent, high-quality creative production.
• Concept and lead campaigns, packaging launches, and in-store activations for both brands.
• Provide structured feedback through design critiques and manage designers across Lumē and Mando.
• Collaborate with Brand, Marketing, Retail, Product, the ACD, Art Director, and ACD, Copywriter.

Requirements

• Confident, well-developed point of view on visual identity and brand design.
• Experience leading design across packaging, digital, campaigns, and retail.
• Ability to balance creative direction with hands-on execution using Figma or Illustrator.
• Ability to translate brand strategy and consumer understanding into clear visual decisions.
• Strong mentoring, feedback, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Ability to work from the New York office on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday.
