Global Director of Application Security (AI Security)

Salary: $164,600–$288,000 USD base pay annually

What you will do

• Define and execute the enterprise application security vision, roadmap, and operating model.
• Develop and enforce application security policies, standards, and controls across the SDLC, APIs, CI/CD pipelines, and software supply chain.
• Lead the transformation toward AI-assisted and AI-generated development models through security guardrails, validation, and governance.
• Embed scalable, automated DevSecOps practices into CI/CD pipelines in partnership with engineering and platform teams.
• Build and lead an application security organization with four direct reports and approximately ten contractors.
• Advise cybersecurity and technology leaders while driving KPIs, vulnerability remediation, and measurable risk reduction.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in application security, cybersecurity, or software engineering.
• 5+ years leading enterprise-scale application security or DevSecOps programs.
• Experience defining and enforcing security policies, standards, and governance.
• Strong technical depth in secure software development and modern SDLC practices.
• Experience influencing engineering teams and senior stakeholders and leading teams that include contractors.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States without employment-based visa sponsorship.

Nice to have

• Hands-on software development experience in large enterprises with mature DevOps and CI/CD pipelines.
• Background in software engineering, architecture, or platform engineering.
• Experience with SAST, DAST, SCA, software supply chain security, API security, cloud-native application security, and CI/CD automation.
• Familiarity with AI-assisted development security implications and experience in financial services or another regulated industry.
