Application Security Engineering Lead (Cloud, Identity & AI)

Location: West Des Moines, Iowa, United States

Salary: $161,164–$241,746 USD annual, with a possible discretionary bonus or variable sales incentive.

What you will do

• Design, build, and evolve reusable application and identity security capabilities, including identity-as-code, policy-as-code, security libraries, developer self-service tools, and platform integrations.
• Embed secure authentication, authorization, API security, and secure software design throughout the software development lifecycle.
• Lead cloud identity engineering across AWS and Azure, including Infrastructure as Code guardrails, scalable identity solutions, and security automation.
• Define enterprise security patterns for non-human identities, machine identities, AI agents, secrets management, certificate lifecycle management, and workload authentication.
• Advance security engineering innovation, developer enablement, AI-enabled solutions, technical mentorship, and the Security Guardians program.

Requirements

• 6+ years of relevant experience in application security, software security engineering, cloud security, identity security, or a related area.
• Expertise in OWASP Top 10, threat modeling, secure architecture, SAST, DAST, Software Composition Analysis, API security, and secure SDLC methodologies.
• Experience with OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, SAML, JWT, mTLS, PKI, certificate management, and secure service-to-service authentication.
• Hands-on experience securing AWS and Azure environments, Infrastructure as Code using Terraform and/or CloudFormation, CI/CD pipelines, and security automation.
• Programming experience with Python, Go, JavaScript, TypeScript, or similar languages.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Systems, Engineering, or equivalent professional experience.
