Legal & Regulatory Affairs Specialist (M/F/D)

What you will do

• Develop and continuously improve compliance frameworks, policies, and procedures across current and prospective operating jurisdictions.
• Lead regulatory mapping and legal due diligence for new markets, including licensing, consumer protection, tourism, data protection, and financial compliance requirements.
• Assess corporate, operational, legal, financial, and reputational risks and implement mitigation measures.
• Monitor regulatory developments, conduct internal audits and compliance reviews, and report findings to senior management.
• Coordinate partner, supplier, technology provider, and commercial partner due diligence, as well as regulatory declarations and reports.
• Draft and negotiate commercial agreements, advise on international expansion, investigate breaches, and provide legal guidance to operational teams.

Requirements

• Mandatory bachelor's degree in Law.
• 2–5 years of experience in legal, compliance, regulatory, or risk management roles.
• Experience with regulatory research, legal analysis, international contracts, legal documentation, and internal policies.
• Strong analytical, organisational, prioritisation, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Fluency in English, Portuguese, and Spanish, both written and spoken.
• Ability to work in a hybrid setup in Vila Nova de Gaia, Porto, Portugal.

Nice to have

• Postgraduate qualifications or specialisation in Compliance, Commercial and Tax Law, Consumer Law, or Intellectual Property.
• Experience in travel, fintech, digital platforms, regulated industries, network marketing, or international regulatory environments.
• Knowledge of GDPR and consumer protection legislation.
• Experience liaising with regulatory authorities, external auditors, or compliance reporting processes.
• Additional language skills.
