Test Technician (Electrical Testing)

Location: Medway, Massachusetts, United States; onsite, 11:00 AM–7:00 PM

Salary: $18.90–$35.00 per hour, depending on skills, experience, education, and performance.

What you will do

• Perform high-voltage electrical tests on completed assemblies according to standard procedures and special instructions.
• Operate RIV measuring instruments, SF₆ gas-handling systems, and SF₆ leak detectors.
• Conduct mechanical and configuration inspections using work instructions and engineering drawings.
• Review quality assurance records and initiate or distribute nonconformance reports when needed.
• Maintain test logs, documentation, equipment, and calibration status for tools and instruments.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe manufacturing work environment.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Knowledge of standard and metric measuring tapes, calculators, and pressure gauges.
• Knowledge of basic hand tools, including ratchets and wrenches.
• Ability to follow detailed instructions, processes, and procedures.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods, perform frequent bending and kneeling, and safely lift up to 50 pounds occasionally.
• Ability to communicate effectively and visually assess work in a manufacturing environment with variable temperatures.

Nice to have

• Experience using calipers, micrometers, SF₆ leak detectors, or SF₆ gas carts.
• Familiarity with electrical terminology and equipment used for electrical testing.
