Security Engineer

What you will do

• Build and integrate security features and controls into web applications and internal administration platforms.
• Implement and maintain AWS security controls covering IAM, encryption, backups, logging, monitoring, and alerting.
• Securely orchestrate customer jobs and data across cloud and on-premises HPC environments.
• Build and respond to security-log alerts across cloud and on-premises infrastructure.
• Deploy vulnerability-scanning tools, triage findings with developers, and validate penetration-test remediations.
• Harden HPC infrastructure and improve compliance-tool integrations and remediation efforts.

Requirements

• Hands-on engineering experience in backend software, DevOps/infrastructure, or security engineering.
• Experience securing cloud environments, ideally AWS.
• Familiarity with infrastructure as code such as Terraform.
• Experience deploying or working with CI/CD pipelines.
• Working knowledge of application and infrastructure security fundamentals.
• Must be a US Citizen or Green Card Holder.

Nice to have

• Experience building NIST 800-171 or NIST 800-53 compliance automation platforms.
• Experience with AWS security, infrastructure as code, or CI/CD pipeline development.
