TL;DR

hirify.global is a technology startup developing ultra-fast simulation software for engineering applications including aircraft, automotive, wind turbines, and quantum computing chips.

What you will do

  • Implement, test, and document solver and meshing features for computational fluid dynamics software.
  • Profile and optimize implementations for speed and scalability on CPUs and GPUs.
  • Develop clean, maintainable APIs and contribute to bug fixes, support, and source code maintenance.
  • Collaborate with user-interface, scientific visualization, Product Management, QA, and Documentation teams.
  • Build robust, extensible software for high-performance industrial simulations and large datasets.

Requirements

  • Strong background in fluid mechanics, structural mechanics, aeroacoustics, conjugate heat transfer, or a related field.
  • Knowledge of numerical methods for discretized Navier–Stokes equations for incompressible or compressible flows.
  • Experience contributing to complex CFD solvers, with knowledge of computational geometry and CFD meshing.
  • Proficiency in C++ for scientific computing and Python or a similar scripting language.
  • Master’s degree or PhD in an applicable technical field and 0–3 years of industry experience.
  • Familiarity with Git and the Linux command line.

Nice to have

  • Experience implementing and testing features in commercial CFD solvers.
  • Experience working in a distributed development team.
  • PhD in Computational Science and Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Aerospace Engineering.
  • Expertise in multigrid methods, immersed boundary or overset methods, adaptive mesh refinement, turbulence modeling, multiphysics, or CFD meshing.
  • Experience developing scalable parallel CFD solvers with MPI, OpenMP, or CUDA.
