What you will do
- Design and own scalable registration and onboarding processes for international sellers.
- Build the cross-border fulfilment and logistics framework from origin-country warehouses through local warehouses to South African customers.
- Define inventory management standards across origin and local stock, reducing stockouts and overstock.
- Establish product listing, quality, imagery, and compliance standards for sellers.
- Develop seller communication, performance management, SLA, health-score, reporting, and escalation frameworks.
- Coordinate with warehousing, fulfilment, marketplace, technology, product, finance, and legal teams while leading continuous improvement initiatives.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of hands-on experience in cross-border commerce, marketplace operations, international trade, or e-commerce logistics.
- Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, International Trade, or a related field.
- Experience designing and implementing operational processes and frameworks at scale, preferably in a marketplace or platform environment.
- Working knowledge of international logistics flows, import and export documentation, compliance frameworks, and trade regulations relevant to South Africa or comparable markets.
- Strong analytical and data skills, including operational modelling, dataset interpretation, and evidence-based decision-making.
- Ability to independently solve complex operational problems, lead root-cause analysis, and implement durable solutions.

- Experience working in or with an e-commerce marketplace.
- Experience managing sellers, logistics partners, or cross-functional stakeholders without direct authority.
