St. Louis Internal Audit and Financial Advisory Intern - 2027 (AI)

Location: St. Louis, Missouri; hybrid work with in-person work in the local office and on client sites. Interns must be available to work in the designated location during business hours for the entire internship, with possible local or out-of-state travel.

What you will do

• Support client engagements delivering internal audit and financial advisory solutions.
• Assess business processes, identify and mitigate risks, and improve controls, governance, compliance, efficiency, and effectiveness.
• Evaluate technology risks and opportunities across cybersecurity, AI risk, data governance, cloud, privacy, software development, resilience, and technology governance.
• Analyze data and information in multiple formats to identify insights and develop actionable conclusions.
• Collaborate with project teams, leaders, clients, and Talent Managers across industries and capability areas.
• Participate in onboarding, experiential training, professional development, and internal initiatives.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, Finance, Information Systems, Information Technology, Management Information Systems, or a related discipline.
• Must be within one year of final graduation at the time of the internship.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States for hirify.global without sponsorship now or in the future.
• Demonstrated proficiency using AI tools for analytical and research tasks, such as Microsoft Copilot or generative AI.
• Advanced verbal and written communication, critical thinking, analytical reasoning, teamwork, and independent work skills.
• Technical proficiency relevant to the assigned capability area.

Nice to have

• Understanding of internal audit processes, frameworks, emerging technologies, and audit objectives.
• Experience with Microsoft Office Suite, Power BI, Alteryx, Microsoft Power Platform, or Python.
• Entry-level knowledge of software development practices and methodologies.
• Interest in professional certifications, advanced analytics, and automation technologies.
