Atlanta Internal Audit and Financial Advisory Intern - 2027 (AI)

Location: Atlanta, Georgia, United States; hybrid work with in-person work in the local office and on client sites. Interns must be available in the designated location during business hours for the entire internship. Local and out-of-state travel may be required.

Salary: $28–$38 per hour.

What you will do

• Collaborate with client-service teams to deliver internal audit and financial advisory solutions.
• Assess business processes, identify and mitigate emerging risks, and recommend improvements to efficiency, effectiveness, governance, and compliance.
• Evaluate technology risks and controls across cybersecurity, AI risk, data governance, cloud, privacy, software development, resilience, and technology governance.
• Analyze data in multiple formats to identify insights and develop actionable conclusions.
• Apply AI tools, data visualization, and automation technologies to improve delivery quality and efficiency.
• Participate in onboarding, training, project assignments, committees, and professional development activities.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in accounting, computer science, data science, engineering, finance, information systems, information technology, management information systems, or a related field.
• Authorization to work in the United States for hirify.global without sponsorship now or in the future.
• Must be within one year of final graduation at the time of the internship and be at least 18 years old.
• Proficiency in applying AI tools to analytical and research tasks.
• Advanced verbal and written communication, critical thinking, teamwork, independent work, and data interpretation skills.
• Technical proficiency relevant to the assigned capability area, including internal audit concepts, Microsoft Office, data visualization, software development fundamentals, or advanced analytics.

Nice to have

• Experience with Power BI, Alteryx, Microsoft Power Platform, or Python.
• Interest in professional certifications and a strong academic background.
• Knowledge of internal audit frameworks, emerging technologies, and automation.
