Intern, Audit IAAS

Location: Rochester, New York, United States; primary work environment is a professional corporate office. Some domestic and international travel may be required.

Salary: $19.00–$29.50 per hour. Benefits include paid time off, medical, dental and vision insurance, and a 401(k) plan for eligible employees.

What you will do

• Participate in operational, advisory, financial, IT, compliance and SOX audits.
• Interview auditees and execute test plans by reviewing transactions, documents, records, reports and procedures.
• Assess operational risks and controls across finance and information technology environments, including data centers, applications, development efforts and telecommunications.
• Document processes, test key controls affecting financial reporting and IT, and prepare audit work papers.
• Research and analyze project data, present audit issues and recommend improvements to business processes and internal controls.
• Support special projects and communicate risks and control impacts to technical and non-technical managers.

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate degree program in accounting, finance, IT or a related business area.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office products, including Excel, PowerPoint and Word.
• Financial, accounting, IT or audit experience through coursework or practical work.
• Problem-solving ability, intellectual curiosity, attention to detail and effective written and verbal communication.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively while learning internal auditing standards, procedures and techniques.
• Ability to travel commercially to domestic and international locations.
