Location: United States Eastern or Central Time Zones, with a strong preference for candidates near or willing to relocate to DPF facilities in Christiansburg, VA; Houston, TX; or Stewartville, MN. This is a travel-intensive hybrid role requiring monthly on-site leadership presence across all DPF sites.
Salary: $149,000–$200,000 per year

What you will do
- Lead operational performance, reliability, and execution across the full DPF facilities maintenance network.
- Directly lead, coach, and develop Site Facilities Managers while coordinating with Site Directors and local leadership.
- Establish consistent operating standards, escalation protocols, staffing models, and cross-site resource deployment.
- Lead incident response, recovery, corrective actions, commissioning, startups, expansions, transitions, and renovations.
- Oversee vendor and contractor performance, operating budgets, forecasting, cost optimization, and service delivery.
- Ensure GMP/GxP, safety, regulatory compliance, and audit readiness across the network.
Requirements
- 12–15+ years of progressive leadership experience in facilities, maintenance, engineering, or operations within pharmaceutical, biotech, biologics, or other FDA-regulated environments, depending on education.
- Operational leadership experience driving execution across distributed teams under pressure.
- Strong technical troubleshooting and decisive judgment in regulated GMP environments.
- Experience with facilities infrastructure, GMP utilities, maintenance execution, vendor management, staffing flexibility, and cross-site collaboration.
- Ability to move between strategic planning and hands-on field leadership while applying GMP/GxP compliance requirements.
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel extensively, normally 30–40% or more during startups, outages, and peak periods.
Nice to have
- Associate or Bachelor’s Degree in engineering, facilities management, operations management, or a related field.
- 5+ years of success in lean, flexible, or cross-site operating models within regulated research or product development environments.
