Senior Software Engineer

Location: Remote position accepting applicants in Europe and nearby time zones with preference for candidates in the European Union (excluding Germany), Serbia, and Poland

Overview

Join a fast-paced startup team focused on building scalable backend systems for high-volume business text messaging. Work independently and collaboratively to deliver robust, performant, and secure software solutions.

What you will do

• Set up and integrate with a remote distributed team, learn business goals and industry compliance
• Participate in code reviews, clarify requirements, support QA, and resolve production issues
• Write maintainable, testable, and performant code modeling complex domain rules
• Implement observability, plan work, collaborate with customer success, and optimize system performance
• Adapt to rapid change and contribute to product growth and customer retention

Requirements

• Must be able to provide proof of identity and work authorization to work as a contractor in country of residence
• Proficiency with Russian is required due to Russian-speaking development team
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in a technical field
• Experience with ASP.NET Core, Entity Framework Core, SQL databases, RabbitMQ
• Strong understanding of algorithms, asynchronous and parallel programming, distributed and event-driven systems
• Ability to write maintainable, testable, robust, and performant code
