Focus on analyzing payer criteria, resolving patient-specific coverage challenges, and managing field-based stakeholder engagement across care sites.

Location: Remote, supporting the Greater New York territory and requiring domestic travel of up to 60–70%.

Salary: $134,615–$201,250 annually, plus incentive opportunity.

What you will do

  • Educate healthcare providers and office staff on access, coverage, reimbursement processes, claims submissions, coding, and prior authorization requirements.
  • Analyze payer criteria and provide product access expertise to healthcare offices.
  • Coordinate individual patient cases with Hubs, including patient support services and enrollment.
  • Collaborate with Field Sales, Specialty Pharmacy Accounts, and other internal and external stakeholders.
  • Execute territory plans, share local payer trends, and help resolve patient-specific coverage challenges.
  • Manage daily field-based activities across various care sites while traveling domestically as required.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • 5+ years of pharmaceutical industry experience focused on payer policy and reimbursement.
  • 3+ years of experience with benefit verifications, prior authorization requirements, patient access, billing, or coding in rare disease.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, consultative, organizational, training, and presentation skills.
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel domestically up to 60–70%.
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships with internal and external customers.

Nice to have

  • Knowledge of CMS policies and processes, especially Medicare Part D.
  • Experience in a Buy and Bill reimbursement environment.
  • Nephrology experience.
  • Understanding of US healthcare payer billing practices.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
