Software Engineer

Location: Based in Reykjavik, Iceland with a hybrid schedule (Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday in office).

Salary: 15,840,000 - 20,160,000 ISK annually.

Overview

You will be part of the Infrastructure team, building and operating software to enable Asana's security, scalability, and speed. You will work on cross-functional projects to define the future of Asana's infrastructure and architect critical services at scale.

What you will do

• Analyze problems and make key technical implementation decisions to guide engineering vision.
• Collaborate with infrastructure teams to define service-oriented architecture.
• Develop frameworks, services, and tooling to power applications and enable other engineering teams.
• Evangelize good code and solid engineering practices.
• Support design reviews and help engineers make trade-offs.
• Develop high-quality code and keep services running, participating in on-call rotation.

Requirements

• Expertise in programming and computer science with an interest in distributed systems.
• 5+ years writing and shipping production code.
• Ability to collaborate across different roles and functions with empathy.
• Fast learner, excited to contribute from day one.
