TL;DR

What you will do

  • Build and ship features for tour and activity businesses used by thousands of operators globally.
  • Develop across the full stack using Java for backend services and React/TypeScript for frontend interfaces.
  • Collaborate with product and design teams to take features from concept to production.
  • Write clean, maintainable code and participate in code reviews to ensure high quality.
  • Utilize AI coding assistants like Claude Code to enhance development efficiency.
  • Engage in continuous learning through pairing and mentorship from experienced engineers.

Requirements

  • Computer Science Degree required.
  • Proficiency in at least one modern programming language.
  • English proficiency required for daily communication.
  • Must be able to work on-site in Reykjavik, Iceland.
  • Up to 2–3 years of professional experience or strong project portfolio for recent graduates.

Nice to have

  • Familiarity with TypeScript, React, or Java.
  • Experience with REST APIs and modern web development.
  • Knowledge of relational databases (SQL).
  • Background or interest in travel, e-commerce, or marketplaces.
