What you will do
- Build and ship features for tour and activity businesses used by thousands of operators globally.
- Develop across the full stack using Java for backend services and React/TypeScript for frontend interfaces.
- Collaborate with product and design teams to take features from concept to production.
- Write clean, maintainable code and participate in code reviews to ensure high quality.
- Utilize AI coding assistants like Claude Code to enhance development efficiency.
- Engage in continuous learning through pairing and mentorship from experienced engineers.
Requirements
- Computer Science Degree required.
- Proficiency in at least one modern programming language.
- English proficiency required for daily communication.
- Must be able to work on-site in Reykjavik, Iceland.
- Up to 2–3 years of professional experience or strong project portfolio for recent graduates.
Nice to have
- Familiarity with TypeScript, React, or Java.
- Experience with REST APIs and modern web development.
- Knowledge of relational databases (SQL).
- Background or interest in travel, e-commerce, or marketplaces.
