Location: High Wycombe, Buckinghamshire, United Kingdom; the role is located in Maidenhead, UK.

What you will do

  • Build and maintain oncology expertise through engagement with clinicians and academic experts.
  • Gather and translate field insights to inform medical strategy and evidence generation.
  • Identify data gaps and propose research initiatives as part of the local evidence-generation strategy.
  • Develop and execute local Medical Affairs plans and lead or support advisory boards, scientific exchange, and medical education programs.
  • Provide medical expertise for Health Technology Appraisal submissions and collaborate with Market Access, Commercial, Regulatory, HEOR, and global or EMEA colleagues.
  • Review activities for scientific accuracy, balance, and compliance with the ABPI Code of Practice and company policies.

Requirements

  • GMC-registered physician or UK-registered pharmacist required.
  • PhD in oncology, immunology, molecular biology, or a related discipline; alternatively, an MSc with Medical Affairs experience in the pharmaceutical industry or another relevant healthcare qualification with substantial Medical Affairs experience.
  • Strong project management skills and experience leading clinical or scientific programs autonomously.
  • Experience in evidence generation, data interpretation, and scientific communication.
  • Good understanding of the ABPI Code of Practice.
  • Ability to learn quickly and build and maintain professional relationships.

Nice to have

  • Medical Advisor experience in lung, colorectal, or head and neck cancer.
  • Experience supporting Health Technology Appraisal submissions.
