QA Coding Specialist

What you will do

• Conduct quality reviews of onshore and offshore medical billers and coders for accuracy, compliance, and adherence to coding standards.
• Perform targeted, focused, random, pre-bill, performance improvement, and established coder quality reviews.
• Prepare audit reports, analyze data, build dashboards, and present findings to RCM leadership, compliance, and partner practices.
• Develop educational materials and train coding staff to achieve a 95% accuracy rate.
• Abstract procedural service codes across imaging, medical oncology, pathology, and E/M specialties.
• Collaborate with leadership, compliance, and risk management on federal, state, and local regulatory requirements.

Requirements

• CPC or another professional coding certification required.
• 3+ years of medical coding auditing experience required.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office products.
• Ability to work independently, collaborate with a team, and meet deadlines.
• Demonstrated ability to use data to support decisions and drive organizational behavior change.

Nice to have

• CPMA certification.
• Medical oncology and radiation oncology coding experience.
