Director of Product Marketing (Photonics Solutions)

Location: Hybrid in Germany; site-based work at the Thiendorf, Germany location.

What you will do

• Define and own the product roadmap, global go-to-market strategy, and 3-to-5-year growth strategy for silicon photonics engineering and production test solutions.
• Lead customer requirement gathering and develop Market Requirement Documents to guide Engineering and Product Management roadmaps.
• Develop product positioning, value propositions, pricing models, and ROI calculators focused on measurement, automation, cost of test, equipment effectiveness, yield, and test-time reduction.
• Analyze competitive ecosystems covering automated alignment, instrumentation, interconnect, and wafer probing.
• Identify emerging use cases for co-packaged optics, laser-on-wafer integration, and 2.5D/3D hybrid bonding.
• Coordinate Marketing, Sales, Engineering, Manufacturing, and Operations while building partnerships and technical sales-enablement materials.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Photonics, Physics, or a related hardware discipline.
• Minimum 8–10+ years of product marketing, product management, or business development experience in the semiconductor capital equipment industry.
• For leadership experience, 12+ years with a Bachelor’s degree, 10 years with a Master’s degree, or 8 years with a PhD, or equivalent experience.
• Experience building capital equipment and leading product teams in the semiconductor market.
• Knowledge of optical-to-electrical probing, passive and active optical alignment, optical-electrical testing, and data management.
• Experience leading cross-functional teams and communicating complex optical engineering topics to technical teams and C-level executives.

Nice to have

• MBA or advanced technical degree such as an MS or PhD.
• Experience with microLED, VCSEL, optical transceivers, co-packaged optics, or RF technologies.
• Experience working with OSATs, IDMs, pure-play foundries, optical hardware manufacturers, or global tier-1 hyperscalers.
