VP, Data Platform and Knowledge (AI)

Location: 5-day onsite role in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, United States

Salary: $200,000–$226,000 per year, including base salary and target incentive bonus, plus RSUs.

hirify.global is a Pittsburgh-based FinTech and e-commerce company developing personalized gifting, gift-card, and card-to-card gifting technologies, including robotic fulfillment capabilities.

What you will do

• Own hirify.global's data and knowledge platform across ingestion pipelines, governance frameworks, vector databases, graph databases, and semantic search.
• Write production code daily and keep all platform layers scalable, reliable, production-grade, and AI-ready.
• Lead a flat team of senior leaders and data engineers, establishing delivery cadence, ownership areas, and accountability.
• Implement data quality and governance standards that reduce friction for AI and engineering teams.
• Systematize the onboarding of new data sources from scoping through production while protecting existing pipelines.
• Partner with AI product, engineering, and business leadership to align platform capabilities, data standards, and priorities.

Requirements

• 12+ years of progressive experience in data platforms, data engineering, or knowledge infrastructure.
• At least 5 years in senior leadership owning a team, budget, and multi-year roadmap.
• Active hands-on engineering experience with the ability to build and ship production data systems personally.
• Experience managing a flat, mixed-seniority team spanning senior leaders and individual engineers.
• Experience scaling a data platform at a high-growth technology company, preferably in an AI-native environment.
• Current expertise in vector databases, graph databases, embedding pipelines, and LLM-adjacent infrastructure.

• Experience working in an AI-native environment where semantic data structure and reliability are core product requirements.
